SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT HEAVEN

 

  I.  Who Will Be There?

       A.  Revelation 21:8 and 27 tell who will NOT be there.

       B.  Paul tells who will be there (2 Thess. 1:7; 2 Tim. 4:8).

 

 II.  What Will It Be Like?

       A.  It will be a place of beauty (Rev. 21:21ff).

       B.  It will be a place of comfort (Rev. 21:4).

       C.  It will be a place of rest (Heb. 4:9).

 

III.  When Will We See It?

       A.  Paul speaks of “that day” (2 Tim. 4:8) when referring to

             the Judgment and eternity.

       B.  The Lord will descend (1 Thess. 4:16, 17), every eye will

             see Him (Rev. 1:7), and everyone will be judged (Jn. 5:28,

             29).

       C.  The events surrounding the end will take place swiftly

             (1 Cor. 15:52-54).

 

IV.  Where Is Heaven?

       A.  Heaven is where God dwells (Deut. 10:14; 1 Kings 8:27).

       B.  The angels declared that Heaven is up (Acts 1:11).

       C.  Where ever heaven is, it is where we want to be.

 

 V.  How Can We Go There?

       A.  Jesus says that we must follow Him (Jn. 14:6).

       B.  We must obey God’s plan of salvation which demands our

             hearing (Rom. 10:17), believing (Jn. 8:24), repenting

             (Acts 17:30), confessing (Matt. 10:32, 33), being baptized

             (Mk. 16:16), and living faithfully (Rev. 2:10).
