REJOICE IN THE LORD
Philippians 4:4
I. What to do
A. We are told to rejoice, and this word means to be full of
cheer.
B. The following verses paint a picture of this original word.

II. Where to do it
A. True joy is in the Lord.
B. Glory in the Lord (1 Cor. 1:31).
C. One rejoices in the Lord because the following are in the
Lord:
1. All spiritual blessings (Eph. 1:3)
2. Redemption (Eph. 1:7)
3. Salvation (2 Tim. 2:10)
4. Our inheritance (Eph. 1:11)
D. Ephesians 2:12 describes life outside of Christ.
III. When to do it
A. We are to rejoice always!
B. Paul wrote these words while in prison.
C. Paul practiced what he here preaches (Acts 16:25).
Conclusion
1. One gets into Christ by baptism (Gal. 3:27).
2. Baptism is the only way to enter the body of Christ.
3. Hear (Rom. 10:17), believe (Mk. 16:16), repent (Acts 17:30),
confess (Matt. 10:32, 33), and be baptized (Acts 2:38).
