WHERE IS GOD?

A Lesson In Lyrics

I. He is in heaven

A. Our God is concealed from human sight beyond the azure

blue (Deut. 10:14; 1 Kings 8:27).

B. Philip desired to see the father (Jn. 14:8).

C. Many deny the existence of God because they cannot see

Him.

D. God has revealed Himself in many ways.

II. He came to earth (in the person of Jesus)

A. Jesus is God in the flesh (Matt. 1:23; Jn. 1:14).

B. Jesus put on humanity and humility (Phil. 2:5-9).

C. His lowly life makes our victory in heaven possible.

D. God’s matchless love sent our Savior (Jn. 3:16; Rom. 5:8).

III. He is close to each of us

A. Jesus has promised to be by our side (Heb. 13:5).

B. A question for each of us is: "Where am I in relationship

to God?"

C. Are we allowing God to be close to us?

D. Any distance between us and God has been put there by us.

Conclusion

1. The Bible is not a book that simply states the existence of God

(Gen. 1:1) without any explanation.

2. The Bible seeks to answer the question, "Where are you?"

(Gen. 3:9).
