Syllabus – The Prison Epistles
Instructor: Brendan Carr
PURPOSE:
An in depth study of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon.
TEXTBOOK:
The King James Version of the Bible.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Each student is required to read all four books.
Each student is to read the material to be studied prior to class.
Memory verses will be due throughout the semester according to the schedule.
There will be a test given at the completion of each book we study.
Each student will be in attendance for each class, should a student need to miss or be late for class they are to inform the instructor prior to the beginning of class.
TESTS AND ASSIGNMENTS:
The memory work assignments are found on the syllabus. Each student will type them out from memory into an email and send it to the instructor before the start of class on the assigned due date. The email address they are to be sent to is cory.orr@oabs.org. Once the memory work is memorized the student will type it into an email from memory, grade the memory work, and put the grade in the subject line of the email and send it to the instructor. This is the honor system so please make sure that you do this from memory.
The tests will be sent out the following Monday after the completion of the book that has been studied. The student is to complete the test and turn it back in by 11:59 pm on Friday before we start the next book on Saturday.
COURSE GRADING:
Students will be graded on attendance.
Students will be graded on memory work.
Students will be graded on each test.
These grades will accumulate for 100% of the student's grade.
COURSE SCHEDULE:
Classes meet each Saturday for 18 sessions. Each Saturday will consist of two fifty minute sessions and will meet from 9:00 AM to 10:50 AM CTZ. There will be two breaks during the semester but there will be a total of 18 class sessions.
