Syllabus – Isaiah

PURPOSE:
To study the prophecies of the prophet Isaiah to the Jewish nation, understanding his prophecies of the church and the Messiah
TEXTBOOKS:
The King James Version Bible
Isaiah - Homer Hailey (Recommended, not required)
Isaiah - Coffman (Available free online, optional)

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Keep diligent notes (to be submitted by email & reviewed weekly)
Complete all assignments on time
QUIZZES AND ASSIGNMENTS:
Quizzes will be administered throughout the course. Quizzes are due back to the instructor by midnight on the Tuesday following class. Each exam will be worth 50 points.
Lesson outlines: Develop 4 lesson outlines at least one page in length. The outline should cover a chapter of Isaiah in its entirety or a topic related to the prophet's writings. All outlines are due by class #15.
Class notes: Each week's class notes should be submitted by email to the instructor prior to the beginning of the next class. Worth 25 points total.
Five points will be deducted for each day a test or assignment is late
COURSE SCHEDULE:
Classes meet each Saturday for 18 sessions at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM CTZ, and 2:00 PM CTZ. Each class will be 50 minutes in length with a 10-minute break between classes and one-hour lunch at noon CTZ. Each class is divided into three fifty minute sessions. We will cover approximately three and a half chapters per class.
Two weeks will be taken off per the OABS calendar.
