Syllabus – 1 & 2 Thessalonians

PURPOSE:
To better understand the background and reason for Paul's letters to the church at Thessalonica
To help us develop our ability to "rightly divide" God's word
To see the importance of understanding about Christ's second coming
TEXTBOOKS:
We will conduct our studies from the King James Version of the Bible. This will ensure uniformity in our word studies and reading assignments. There will be times when we will compare KJV passages with the American Standard Version of 1901.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
You will need to read the assigned text for each class session before coming into the class
TEST AND ASSIGNMENTS:
You will be tested at the close of each chapter (8 tests)
Also, there will be pop quizzes from time to time at the end of our classroom sessions. These are to be answered and sent to me as soon as possible after the class is ended.
COURSE GRADING:
Your grades for this class will be determined by the average obtained at the end of the semester
Points will be deducted for all assignments that come in late
COURSE SCHEDULE:
Our semester studies begin on the first Saturday in August
Our class time will be approximately 50 minutes in duration beginning at 11 AM CTZ

Lesson 9: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
Lesson 10: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
